GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, yesterday, signed into law
the year 2013 appropriation bill of N152billion, assuring that all
programmes and projects initiated for the desired transformation of the
state, would be pursued to a logical conclusion.
At the signing ceremony Mimiko said, “the Budget which I have just signed into Law has a provision of N152billion
“It is broken into N73, 586,556,000.00 for recurrent expenditure and N78, 913,444,000.00 for capital expenditure.
“It was my great pleasure to sign the 2013 Appropriation Bill into Law.
Incidentally, the budget just signed into Law today, is the last to
be prepared during the first term of my administration, and will
consequently be implemented in the first year of my second term.
The governor thanked God “for granting our prayers for the
transformation of the state in the last four years, as demonstrated in
the life changing initiatives and projects dotting the entire landscape
of the state.”
Mimiko commended members of the State House of Assembly, who
postponed their recess to fast track the consideration of the 2013
budget proposal.
The governor said “while it is good to start the re-engineering
process for further transformation of the state, it is, however, more
important to ensure that all programmes and projects initiated for the
desired transformation are pursued to a logical conclusion.”
